Man Arrested for Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A man was arrested on charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia on Wednesday evening.

At 8:34 PM, officers on patrol observed a person having difficulty walking in the area of East Market Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue. The individual, identified as John Wolfe, 54, of Wilkes-Barre, appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Upon contacting Wolfe, officers determined that he was a danger to himself due to his level of intoxication. Following this assessment, they took him into custody.

During a search incident to the arrest, officers found drug paraphernalia on Wolfe’s person. He was transported to City Headquarters for processing and is facing charges related to the incident.
