JERSEY CITY, NJ – Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released details regarding the arrest of Raul Pena, 31, from Brooklyn.
Pena is charged with the aggravated sexual assault of a 29-year-old woman in Jersey City. The incident took place on Sunday, August 20, in a residential area.
The victim had reportedly met Pena through a mutual acquaintance shortly before the attack.
Pena’s arrest, on Thursday, was facilitated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the NYPD Special Victims Unit.
He is currently detained at Brooklyn Central Booking and awaits extradition to New Jersey.
