Man Arrested for Shooting During Vehicle Repo in Trenton

TRENTON, NJ – A verbal dispute between a tow truck driver repossessing a RAM 2500 pick-up and the vehicle’s occupant escalated when multiple gunshots were heard from nearby 53 Oak Lane. Mercer County Tactical Response Team and Shooting Response Team were deployed and the suspect, William Holzendorf, was taken into custody.

Officers initially arrived on scene in response to a 911 call regarding the dispute. While speaking with the involved parties, multiple shots rang out from the area around 53 Oak Lane.

An investigation led to the identification of Holzendorf as the suspect.

Holzendorf had retreated to 53 Oak Lane from where he fired the shots. Directed by Det Sgt Katie Cox, the Shooting Response Team executed a search warrant at the residence. Two firearms and four spent .40 caliber shell casings were recovered.

Holzendorf faces charges of carjacking and multiple weapons offenses.
