Man Arrested for Shooting, Firing at Officers in Baltimore

Baltimore, MD – Terrance Hazelwood, 41, has been arrested by the Warrant Apprehension Task Force in connection with a shooting incident in the Western District of Baltimore. The arrest, made Sunday relates to a violent encounter on the previous Friday night in the 1300 block of Laurens Street, where a 31-year-old man was shot and officers responding to the incident were fired upon.

Hazelwood is now facing multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, among other charges, following his transportation to the Central Booking Intake Facility by detectives.

The Friday night shooting initially reported around 8:54 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Carey Street, resulted in the victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and being rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
