GLEN BURNIE, MD – Officers arrested a 35-year-old man after he fired shots inside his residence, believing he was warding off an intruder, and causing a water leak in the process.

At around 1:00 a.m. on October 2, officers responded to a burglary report in the 6400 block of Bricktown Circle.

Upon arrival, they discovered Sean Joseph Keenan of Pasadena, Maryland, had fired four rounds through his bedroom door. Keenan initially refused to put down his handgun, but officers were able to secure his compliance after a brief negotiation. Further inspection revealed that Keenan’s shots struck a pipe, causing water to flood the apartment. Officers found no evidence of a burglary at the residence.

Keenan, who was prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged. The 9mm handgun was seized by officers.
