CAMBRIDGE, MD – Tyson Tyrell Sampson, 36, from Cambridge, has been apprehended by the Cambridge Police Department following an assault incident.

The assault took place on last Thursday, close to midnight, at Greenwood Avenue. Responding officers reported that the victim had suffered injuries from a bicycle, allegedly thrown by Sampson during a heated argument.

The victim claimed the assault occurred after Sampson had left children unattended at the residence while the victim was found consuming controlled dangerous substances on Douglas Street.

Sampson, however, denied these allegations. Following the arrest, he was transported to the CPD for processing and his initial court appearance.

Sampson was subsequently released on his personal recognizance and charged with second-degree assault.
