Man Arrested in Rockville Double Stabbing Case

ROCKVILLE, MD – the Montgomery County Police Department has announced that they have arrested a man in connection with a double stabbing that took place in the city on Saturday.

Police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Scorpio Alexander Standfield and charge him for the two stabbings and a homicide.

According to police, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Rockville City Police, Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the 700 block of Hungerford Dr. in Rockville for the report of a stabbing.

“Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim gave a description of the suspect. Officers provided life saving measures to the victim who was then transported to an area hospital with serious injuries,” police said. “Officers located the suspect, later identified as Standfield, walking in the 900 block of Hungerford Dr. Officers placed Standfield under arrest and found items of evidentiary value in his possession.”

While investigating the crime scene, officers also located another adult male victim, suffering from a stab wound, seated in his vehicle in the 800 block of Hungerford Dr. This victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Standfield was transported to the Montgomery County Central processing Unit, where he was charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree murder.
