Man assaulted while waiting for E train at JFK station

NEW YORK CITY – A man was assaulted while waiting for a train at the subway station at JFK international Airport.

On Saturday, at approximately 3:00 a.m., inside the Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Avenue station, a 35-year-old male victim was on the platform waiting for a southbound “E” train when an unknown individual approached him and asked where he was going.

The individual then punched the victim in the face. When the southbound “E” train arrived, the victim boarded it and left the location, while the individual remained on the platform. The victim sustained pain to his face but refused further medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’00” tall, with a dark complexion and a large build, last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a black jacket, large gold chain, a dark blue jersey, black pants, and white sneakers.

The NYPD has released surveillance images depicting the individual after the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
