Man assaulted with baseball bat in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A 30-year-old man was attacked with a baseball bat on Thursday evening in front of 1138 Teller Avenue, police said.

The assault occurred at approximately 5 p.m. when an unidentified individual approached the victim and struck him on the head with the bat. The suspect then fled the scene in a red vehicle.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are searching for the suspect involved.
