Man Attacked and Robbed by Girl, 14, Accomplice at Baltimore Gas Station

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore Police arrested two individuals, a 14-year-old female and 20-year-old Desmond Denully, in connection with an attempted armed robbery and assault on March 14, 2024. The incident occurred on the 2600 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway around 11:45 p.m.

The 38-year-old male victim was assaulted while paying for gas, after he noticed the suspects trying to enter his vehicle. A confrontation led to the victim being struck in the face with a handgun by Denully. The female suspect then pushed the victim to the ground, urging Denully to “Finish him off.” The suspects fled on foot without taking any property.

A combined effort by Baltimore City officers and Coppin State Campus Police led to the capture of both suspects after a brief foot chase in the 2500 block of West North Avenue. Police recovered a handgun and a hammer from the scene.

The juvenile suspect was sent to the Juvenile Justice Center, while Denully was booked at the Central Booking Intake Facility. He faces charges including first and second-degree assault, attempted armed carjacking, robbery, and handgun violations.
