Man attacked with metal object after traffic dispute in Queens

QUEENS — A 36-year-old man was hospitalized after being assaulted with a metal object during a roadside confrontation in South Ozone Park last month, police said.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, following a vehicle collision in front of 288 Lincoln Avenue. According to investigators, the victim and an unidentified individual became involved in a verbal dispute that quickly escalated.

Police said the unknown suspect produced a metal object and struck the victim multiple times in the head and body before fleeing the scene in a black vehicle.

Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect remains at large, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
