STAFFORD CO.,VA – A domestic dispute escalated into violence late Monday night, leading to the issuance of multiple warrants. The incident, reported at Edgemere Court around 11:16 p.m., involved a man assaulting his girlfriend and her mother.
Deputy P.J. Leon arrived at the scene after the victim reported that a verbal argument with her boyfriend turned physical when he took her phone.
As she attempted to retrieve it, he assaulted her. The confrontation intensified when the victim’s mother intervened, only to be assaulted herself by the man. The altercation culminated with the man throwing the victim’s phone to the ground, rendering it completely destroyed.
Law enforcement obtained warrants for the now ex-boyfriend, charging him with assault and battery, as well as destruction of property. The authorities are actively pursuing the suspect.
