In recent weeks, in northern Ocean County, bias incidents are on the rise according to sources within the state government, fueled by fears posted online by fringe hate groups.  The Attorney General’s Office is also investigating and appears ready to act against an undisclosed hate-based group in the region.  It is unclear if this individual is a member of that group or has ties.
