Cumberland man arrested for violating probation in prior theft case

CUMBERLAND, MD — A 21-year-old man is in custody after being arrested Tuesday on a bench warrant for allegedly violating the terms of his probation related to a previous theft conviction, according to the Cumberland Police Department.

Mecca Isiaah Pulley was taken into custody on September 30 after police located him on an active warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on September 24. The warrant stemmed from a violation of probation conditions imposed following a theft case.

After his arrest, Pulley was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $500 bond.
