CUMBERLAND, MD – A man assaulted a female patient at a medical center in Cumberland. According to police, officers served an arrest warrant on Robert Michael Washington, age 43.
“The Warrant was a result of an assault investigation that occurred on 7-11-22. The Police were called to a medical facility due to an assaulted patient that was in their care,” police said. “Through the investigation, it was learned that Washington had assaulted the female cohabitant who sustained injuries. An application for charges was filed, and a Warrant was issued charging Washington with First and Second Degree Assault.”
Washington was taken to Central Booking for his initial appearance with the District Court Commissioner and was held on a $3,000 bond.
