WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police have detained Lynox Allen, a 20-year-old Wilmington resident, following an altercation at a local Applebee’s. Allen faces charges of aggravated menacing and gun-related offenses after the incident on Sunday evening.

At 8:26 p.m. on October 29, troopers were dispatched to the Applebee’s on 1600 Rocky Run Parkway due to reports of a masked armed individual in a dispute with staff members. The individual was seen leaving in a silver sedan with a noted Delaware license plate. A trooper later spotted and stopped the described vehicle on Concord Pike near Prospect Avenue. Allen, along with a 19-year-old passenger, was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle post-arrest led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and marijuana.

Investigation revealed Allen had gone to the Applebee’s to confront the staff after a call from family members who were at the restaurant. During the confrontation, Allen reportedly reached for a gun in his pocket, escalating the situation to aggravated menacing.
