Man accused of pistol whipping victim in Southeast home invasion arrested
WASHINGTON, DC – A man accused of forcing his way into a Southeast home, striking a victim with a handgun and fleeing with a stolen phone has been arrested weeks after the armed burglary, police said.
The incident occurred Sunday, February 8, at approximately 8:45 a.m. inside a residence in the 3600 block of 22nd Street Southeast.
Two victims were in a bedroom when the suspect forcibly entered the home, according to investigators. The suspect demanded money, struck the first victim in the face with a handgun and slapped the second victim before fleeing with the first victim’s cell phone.
On Friday, February 20, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, executed a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.
Police arrested Qualon Price, 33, of no fixed address. He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary while armed and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.
The case remains under investigation.
