Man Charged in Fatal Shooting at Edgewood Bar

Edgewood, MD – A 33-year-old Aberdeen man, Parrise Marcellous Valentine, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Dajuan Kyree Simmons following a fatal shooting at D&M’s Deck Tiki Bar and Grill in Edgewood on February 17.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting incident shortly after midnight on Saturday, where they found 24-year-old Simmons suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by deputies and medics, Simmons was declared deceased at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Investigations quickly led to the identification of Valentine as the shooter. An arrest warrant was secured on February 18, charging him with second-degree murder among other related crimes. Valentine was apprehended in Philadelphia on February 19 by detectives and tactical officers, awaiting extradition to Harford County.

Sheriff Gahler expressed gratitude towards the community and law enforcement partners for their assistance in swiftly resolving the case. He reassured the public that this was not a random act of violence; the individuals involved knew each other, ensuring no further threat to community safety.
