Man Charged with Assault on Officers and Hospital Staff in Manassas

MANASSAS, VA – An incident at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center led to the arrest of 18-year-old Jason Jose Cerroblanco of Manassas, following his aggressive behavior towards hospital staff and law enforcement officers.

The incident occurred on May 14 at 11:28 AM at the medical facility located on 8700 Sudley Road.

During his treatment at the hospital, Cerroblanco became disorderly and combative, leading to a confrontation with the attending staff and responding officers. According to reports, he actively resisted efforts to detain him, kicking two officers and inappropriately grabbing a staff member. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the altercation.

Cerroblanco was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and one count of misdemeanor sexual assault. He remains hospitalized and will be formally served with these charges upon his release. A court date is pending as the investigation continues.
