Man Charged with Attempted Vehicle Theft and Trespassing

CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Sunday, September 4, at around 9:40 am, Officers from the Cambridge Police Department met with Fray Edward Hylton Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Cambridge, at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.

Hylton was served a Criminal Summons and released back to the corrections facility.

The charges against Hylton are related to an incident that took place on August 25, at Jess Jrs. Officers responded to a call about an attempted vehicle theft and trespassing.

Hylton was identified as the suspect who entered the property and attempted to start a vehicle. The property had posted “No Trespassing” signs.

Hylton now faces charges including attempted motor vehicle unlawful taking and trespassing. The Cambridge Police Department is investigating the incident and encourages anyone with relevant information to come forward.
