Man critically injured in Chesapeake shooting early Saturday

CHESAPEAKE, VA — Chesapeake police are investigating a shooting that left one man critically injured early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 4:40 a.m. in the 3200 block of Border Road. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition, authorities said.

At this time, police have not released any information regarding a suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
