Man Critically Injured In D.C. Stabbing, Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was stabbed early yesterday morning in Northeast, D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch detectives have announced an arrest following the stabbing.

Officers were called to the 100 block of M Street shortly after 5 a.m. in response to a stabbing report. An adult male with a visible stab wound was found at the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The current condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Police arrested 22-year-old Stephen Herring yesterday, and he was charged with Assault With Intent to Kill While Armed.
