Man critically injured in Philadelphia apartment shooting

PHILADELPHIA — A 25-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot inside an apartment on the 800 block of Lex Street early Thursday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:15 a.m. and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and left shoulder.

Police transported the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The scene was secured, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting as the investigation continues.
