Man Critically Injured in Westwood Shooting

CINCINNATI, OH – Early Friday, a man was found critically injured on Gobel Avenue in Westwood. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Cincinnati Police are currently investigating the incident.

In a related development, a person was found with a gunshot wound in the basement of a home on Henrianne Court in East Westwood around 4:30 a.m. The individual was grazed by a bullet in his wrist and was last reported heading to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Officers had requested a K-9 unit to assist in searching for two known suspects. However, no K-9 units were available overnight. Dispatchers are attempting to find an available K-9 unit from other Hamilton County police agencies.

Earlier, there was speculation that the two shooting incidents might be related. However, Lt. Brent McCurley confirmed that the incidents are not connected.
