WILLIAMSPORT, PA – On Thursday, at approximately 5:46 PM, the Lycoming Regional Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at 12 Linda Lane in Old Lycoming Twp.
Upon arrival, they encountered a subject who had inflicted wounds on himself using a butcher knife.
The individual, holding the knife, expressed suicidal intentions, urging the police to end his life.
Through de-escalation tactics, the first officer on scene was successful in persuading the individual to drop the knife.
The subject was then safely transferred by EMS to receive medical attention and mental health care.
