Man Drops Gun During Argument With Little League Coach

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department made an arrest on Saturday, following an incident at a little league football game that same day.

At about 12:20 p.m., Northeast district officers were alerted to a situation on the 1800 block of Fillmore where a man, during a disagreement with a coach, inadvertently dropped a handgun on the field and fled the scene.

A loaded semi-automatic 9mm pistol with 12 rounds was subsequently recovered.

The suspect, identified as Larry Watkins, 31, of Buffalo, faces multiple weapon possession charges.

It’s noted that Watkins is on Federal Supervised Release and is prohibited from owning firearms.
