WASHINGTON, D.C. – A pedestrian was fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident on Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The incident occurred late Saturday night, when a man was discovered lying between cars on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene in the 3100 block of Georgia Avenue.
Authorities determined that the victim was struck by a northbound vehicle that then fled the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until family members are notified.
