Man Fatally Shot at Philadelphia Park

PHILADELPHIA, PA—A tragic shooting at Tacony Creek Park resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man on Friday night. The incident occurred around 7:37 PM on the 700 block of East Olney Avenue in the city’s Olney section.

Philadelphia police, who are currently investigating the case, reported that the man suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and torso. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Witnesses in the vicinity recounted hearing up to five gunshots. A local woman disclosed that her husband saw the injured man run across the street from the park before collapsing on the sidewalk in a pool of blood. No weapons have been found at the scene, and the search for the gunman is ongoing.
