Man fatally shot in Philadelphia; three in custody

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — A 40-year-old man was shot and killed Monday evening in North Philadelphia, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 5:07 p.m. on the 3300 block of H Street, where the victim was struck twice in the head.

Police transported the man to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 p.m.

Three persons of interest have been taken into custody, and several firearms were recovered at the scene.

The area remains secured as investigators continue to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The deadly shooting adds to growing concerns over gun violence in Philadelphia.
