Man fatally shot in Suitland apartment as cops hunt gunman

SUITLAND, MD — A 32-year-old man was killed and another seriously injured in a mid-day double shooting at an apartment in Suitland, Prince George’s County police confirmed Wednesday.

Officers responded around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court, where they found two men inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, identified as Myandre McBride of Suitland, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was rushed to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police have not yet identified a suspect or motive in the case. Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

As the search for answers continues, the Prince George’s County Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

No additional details about the victims’ relationship or events leading up to the shooting have been released. Police are not ruling out any possibilities as they gather more information.
