Washington, D.C. — A man lost his life Tuesday following a shooting inside a Denny’s on Bladensburg Road in Northeast DC, as police search for two suspects who fled the scene.
The shooting happened just before 11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road. The victim was conscious when first responders transported him to the hospital, but police later confirmed he died from his injuries.
It remains unclear whether the victim was a patron or an employee of the restaurant.
Authorities said two suspects were last seen running from the scene toward Benning Road. Surveillance footage and witness accounts are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
