Man fatally stabbed in Brooklyn; police investigation underway

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed Thursday afternoon inside a residence on Halsey Street in Bushwick, police said.

Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to a 911 call for an assault at 1123 Halsey Street at approximately 3:39 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a stab wound to his chest.

Emergency Medical Services transported the man to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

There have been no arrests, and authorities confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.
