Man fatally stabbed inside Upper West Side apartment

NEW YORK, NY — A 46-year-old man was fatally stabbed inside an apartment on the Upper West Side Friday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call about an assault in progress at approximately 10:05 a.m. at 65 West 96th Street, located within the 24th Precinct. Upon arrival, they found Alfred Soto, the victim, suffering from stab wounds to his stomach and chest.

Emergency medical personnel transported Soto to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and authorities confirmed the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
