Man Found Dead Along Roadside in Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD – The Homicide Unit is investigating the death of 52-year-old Michael Fernando Davis.

On Friday, at around 8:30 pm, Capitol Heights Police Department officers found Davis in the roadway on the 5700 block of Gladstone Way, suffering from trauma.

He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Preliminary findings suggest that Davis was fatally injured during a car theft. The stolen car crashed shortly after, and the suspect or suspects fled on foot.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
