Man Found Dead on the Beach at the Jersey Shore

WILDWOOD CREST, NJ – Wildwood Crest Police Department responded to a medical emergency on Tuesday morning involving an unconscious and unresponsive male at the beach near Myrtle Road.

At approximately 6:20 a.m., officers arrived to find a caller performing CPR on the man. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.

The cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy. Authorities have notified the next of kin. The incident is still under investigation, but there is no indication of foul play, and the public is not at risk.
