Man found dead, shot inside car in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A 27-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday inside a car at a Bronx intersection, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 2:03 a.m. reporting a shooting at Givan Avenue and Palmer Avenue. When police arrived, they found the man inside a 2012 gray Infiniti sedan with three gunshot wounds to his chest. Authorities said he was unconscious and unresponsive.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, according to police.

Investigation ongoing, no arrests yet

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have not released information on potential suspects or motives.
