Man found dead with neck trauma in Brooklyn apartment, NYPD says

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 60-year-old man was found dead with neck injuries early Saturday morning inside a building on Snediker Avenue in East New York, according to the NYPD.

Officers responded to a 911 call for an aided male at approximately 7:46 a.m. at 197 Snediker Ave., located within the 75th Precinct. Upon arrival, police found the man unconscious and unresponsive, showing signs of trauma to the neck.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death. No arrests have been made, and the NYPD confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the man’s death or whether foul play is suspected.
