Man Found Fatally Shot in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A fatal shooting in Northeast Washington is under investigation after a man was found dead on Saturday morning.

Around 10:06 a.m., officers in the 400 block of Quackenbos Street, Northeast, responded to gunshots in the area. A subsequent search led to the discovery of an adult male victim in the 6100 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northeast.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Victor Porras-Contreras of Takoma Park, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this incident to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
