Man Found Shot Multiple Times, Dead in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday evening in the city’s Southern District, police said.

Officers responded to a report of gunfire at around 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 2700 block of Spelman Road. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds in the rear of the block.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

No further details have been released at this time.
