Man Found with Gunshot Wounds on Interstate 495

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – Early Sunday, state police discovered a man with multiple gunshot injuries on the side of Interstate 495 in Fairfax County.

At 2:02 a.m., troopers were alerted to a man lying on the shoulder of the northbound lanes near Exit 54 for Braddock Road.

The 21-year-old victim, from Baltimore, was transported to the Inova Fairfax Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Fairfax Field Office is actively investigating the incident, seeking to understand how the man ended up in that location.

No vehicle was found near the injured man.
