Man held without bail in Ocean County on assault charge

Toms River, N.J. – A man was booked into the Ocean County jail Wednesday following his arrest on an assault charge, according to inmate records.

Daniel Riverahortelano, who was taken into custody the same day, is being held without bail after being charged with attempting to cause or knowingly causing bodily injury to another person. Court filings list the charge under New Jersey statute 2C:12-1A(1), which covers simple assault.

Officials confirmed there are no outstanding detainers or alias records tied to the inmate.
