Man hospitalized after shooting in Baltimore County; police investigation ongoing

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A man was hospitalized Sunday evening following a shooting in the Middle River area, according to Baltimore County Police. Authorities reported the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near Tailspin Lane and Langs Road.

The victim, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed by police.

Detectives from the department’s Violent Crimes Unit are leading the investigation, which remains in its early stages. No information regarding suspects or possible motives has been released.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators at 410-887-3700. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department’s iWATCH program or Metro Crime Stoppers, with the possibility of a reward for information leading to an arrest.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear, and authorities continue to investigate.
