Man in critical condition after morning shooting in Seat Pleasant

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — A man is in critical but stable condition after being shot Tuesday morning in Seat Pleasant, according to police.

Officers responded to the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway at around 7:20 a.m., where they discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities say the shooting does not appear to be random, though investigators are still working to determine the events that led to the incident.

Seat Pleasant Police continue to investigate as they gather more information.
