Man in Critical Condition Following Bridgeport Shooting

BRIDGEPORT, CT – A 56-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot last Thursday night on the 1200 block of Park Avenue.

Bridgeport Police responded to the scene around 11:45 p.m. after the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system alerted them to several gunshots.

Evidence was located at crime scenes on Washington Terrace and Park Avenue.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The Bridgeport Police Department’s detective bureau is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department.
