Man Injured in Morning Shooting in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot on Wednesday morning in Southwest D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Forrester Street and Galveston Place at approximately 9:38 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found a man who had been shot. The victim was conscious and breathing at the time. Authorities are investigating the incident and urging anyone to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
