Man Injured in South Side Street Fight Shooting

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Chief of Detectives Capt. Jason Simon reported a man was treated for a gunshot wound early on Saturday.

The shooting took place at St. Elizabeth Health Center, after an altercation on the 400 block of Almyra Avenue on South Side.

The unidentified man, who was involved in a street fight, suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. His injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

The injured man has reportedly not been cooperative with the ongoing investigation.

No further information about the incident or potential suspects has been released by Youngstown police.
