Man killed in Bronx assault, police investigation ongoing

BRONX, NY — Police are investigating the fatal assault of a 30-year-old man in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx on Saturday evening.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at 1022 Throgs Neck Expressway at approximately 6:10 p.m., according to the NYPD. Upon arrival, they discovered Kristopher Samaroo, 30, with trauma to his body.

Samaroo was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where medical staff pronounced him deceased.

Police have not made any arrests in connection to the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
