Man killed in late-night Southeast Baltimore shooting on Jefferson Street

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 36-year-old man is dead following a late-night shooting in Southeast Baltimore, police confirmed Wednesday.

Officers from the Southeast District responded to the 2300 block of Jefferson Street around 11:56 p.m. on May 14 after receiving reports of gunfire. At the scene, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released as homicide detectives continue to investigate the case.

No arrests have been announced, and a motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
