Man killed in northeast Philadelphia shooting

PHILADELPHIA — A 41-year-old man was fatally shot in the city’s 15th District on the 20XX block of E. Cheltenham Avenue on Thursday evening.

Police said the victim, a Hispanic male, was shot multiple times at approximately 7:08 p.m. He was transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:33 p.m.

Authorities have not identified a motive for the shooting, and no arrests have been made. No weapons have been recovered from the scene, which remains under active investigation.

This marks another unresolved case of gun violence in the city as police work to determine what led to the fatal shooting.
