Man killed, teen injured in Bronx shooting

BRONX, N.Y. — A man was fatally shot, and a teenager wounded in a shooting Friday evening in the Bronx, police said.

At approximately 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 1491 Macombs Road, within the 44th Precinct. Upon arrival, police found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

An unidentified male had been shot in the chest. He was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 17-year-old male was shot in the abdomen and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification, and no arrests have been made as the investigation remains active.
